District Cooperative Development Committee Meet held in Reasi

In a proactive move to enhance the vitality of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and broaden their economic scope, the District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) meeting was convened today with Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Paul Mahajan in the chair.

The meeting commenced with a comprehensive overview by the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Reasi, highlighting the ongoing initiatives by the various Department.

Notably, under the Computerization project, 17 PACS in district Reasi have been equipped with the function of Common Service Centers.

Discussing the implementation of Large Grain Storage Plan in the Cooperative Sector, the committee discussed viability and storage gap assessments, instructing the Revenue Department to identify suitable state land. For the formation of Farmers Producers Organization (FPO), Agriculture and Allied Departments were tasked with identifying crops in coordination with CBBOs appointed by NCDC.
