Over 3 lakh pilgrims pay obeisance at holy Amarnath cave

Baltal, July 20: Over 3 lakh pilgrims so far have paid obeisance at the holy Amarnath cave during the 18 days of pilgrimage.Nodal Officer Shahid Choudhary, speaking to media persons said, “More than 3 lakh yatris have successfully completed their pilgrimage. This year, the arrangements including security, track maintenance, and essential services are much improved and running smoothly”He noted that local communities have shown active support and involvement in the Yatra, helping ensure pilgrims experience the best facilities and safe surroundings. “We are receiving very positive feedback. Pilgrims are happy with the security, facilities, and hospitality, especially on the Baltal route,” he added.Highlighting the focus on hygiene and sanitation, Choudhary revealed that over 7,000 toilets have been set up along the route and more than 8,000 sanitation workers are working around the clock to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.The ongoing Yatra continues to witness a steady flow of devotees, with authorities on high alert to ensure their safety and comfort.
