Srinagar, July 01: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today chaired a meeting at the Civil Secretariat Srinagar to review the status of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects in Poonch.The meeting aimed to assess the progress on ongoing road projects and identify areas for improvement.According to a statement issued, it was informed that the Minister directed the concerned authorities to expedite the progress on works and achieve the set targets within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized that completion of these projects would provide tangible benefits to the common masses, including reliable road access and economic opportunities.He stressed the importance of adhering to quality standards in the projects to ensure development of durable assets. He instructed the officers to conduct regular monitoring of the work being executed in their respective jurisdictions.Rana also directed for identification of road stretches in the district requiring repairs, emphasizing the need to fill potholes and make roads safe, beautiful and accessible.
