Shopian, Oct 08 : The seventh round of vote counting in the 37-Shopian constituency has placed Independent candidate Raja Abdul Waheed in the lead, with a total of 8,156 votes. Waheed secured 560 votes in this round, maintaining his position as the leading candidate.
NC’s Sheikh Mohammad Rafi added 311 votes in this round, bringing his total to 5,653.
Independent candidate Shabir Ahmad Kullay gained 1,784 votes in this round, raising his cumulative total to 7,913.
NPP’s Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and BJP’s Javid Ahmad Qadri have seen slower progress. Khan secured 312 votes in this round, while Qadri added 171 votes, bringing their totals to 5,045 and 5,653, respectively.
