NC true representative of J&K people’s aspirations: Sagar

Srinagar, Feb 03: National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Monday said the NC is the true representative of the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, with a strong presence in all its regions.
He said this while addressing a workers’ meeting at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha today. The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from party functionaries, reaffirming their commitment to the party’s vision and mission.
Speaking at the event, Sagar said that Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah had established the party as a stronghold to protect the region and its people’s distinct and rich history. He highlighted the party’s role in safeguarding the region during times of crisis and reiterated the commitment to continue this mission in the future.
The MLA Khanyar said, “The party leadership’s awareness of the hardships faced by the people due to years of undemocratic rule in the region. Under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, the government will rectify the injustices that have affected the people and restore their dignity.”
During the event, Sagar emphasised the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level while upholding its core principles and constitution. He urged workers to remain dedicated to the party’s ideology and work collectively for the welfare of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders highlighted the hardships faced by the people over the past decades and reassured them that all issues would be addressed.
They said the Omar Abdullah-led government is fully committed to fulfilling all promises made in the party manifesto. They said that after the restoration of statehood, all major concerns of the people would be resolved effectively.
The meeting was attended by prominent leaders, including MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar, MLA Lolab Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, MLA Shangus Riyaz Ahmad Khan, MLA Zainpora Showkat Ahmad Ganie, along with local party functionaries especially youth and women from Khanyar constituency.
