A 50-year-old man was crushed to death by a moving train in Andergam village of Pattan area in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday evening, officials said.
A police official said that the 50 year old person came under a train chugging between Banihal and Baramulla near Andergam village of Pattan and died on the spot.
The deceased was later identified as Ghulam Nabi Parray son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Parray, a resident of Andergam, Pattan.
Officials said that the deceased was brought to Trauma Hospital Pattan for medico legal formalities, where his body was handed over to the relatives.
Police said that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations started.
