Srinagar, Mar 14: In a significant development, the Health and Medical Education Department on Tuesday constituted two committees to scrutinize the service data of Community Health Officers (CHOs) of Directorate of Health Services Jammu/Kashmir.
The Health Department has constituted two teams in respect of Kashmir & Jammu Divisions, for scrutinizing the Service records of all CHOs of their respective division.
As per an order issued by the H&ME in Kashmir division, the committee would be headed by Shakoor Ahmad, Deputy Secretary to H&ME Department, Ab. Hamid Lone, Head Assistant, H&ME and Ishfaq Abdullah, Sr. Assistant, H&ME.
Similarly, the committee in Jammu division would be headed by Pamposh Ganju, Under Secretary to H&ME, Naresh Kumar, Section Officer, H&ME and Sudesh Kumar, Head Assistant, H&ME Department.
As per the order, the teams shall call all the CHOs of their respective divisions (block and district-wise) and shall scrutinize all the documents like initial appointment order, promotion orders etc. in each case.
It said that the teams shall find out such cases where the appointment or promotion has been made out of norms/rules.
“The teams shall also look at the performance given by each CHOs and will also check Employee Performance Monitoring (EPM) in respect of each case,” it said.
The teams shall also check the posting of these CHOs and shall suggest the change/transfer wherever felt necessary by them.
The order also said that the teams shall be free to look into any other aspect not specified in the order if they deemed it fit.
Both the teams in Kashmir and Jammu divisions have been directed to submit a report to the competent authority after concluding the aforesaid process.
