Terrorist escapes during search operation in Kokernag Anantnag

A terrorist managed to escape after hurling grenade in which left three persons injured including a soldier in Athlan Gadole of Kokernag, officials said.

A police official operation focused on a lone terrorist believed to be hiding in the area. This individual seized the opportunity of darkness to hurl a grenade at the joint security team. Despite their best efforts, the security forces were unable to prevent terrorists escape, he said.

“The aftermath of the grenade explosion led to injuries among three individuals. Among those hurt were two civilians and an army soldier. All three injured parties were promptly taken to a medical facility for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable,” the official said.
