Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday in her budget speech stated, ” Jal Jeevan Mission Extended Until 2028 with Increased Funding”.
Addressing the Lok Sabha on Union Budget 2025, Sitharaman said, “No Income Tax payable up to an income of Rs 12 Lakh.”
“36 life-saving drugs and medicines added to the list of those fully exempt from basic customs duty, benefiting people suffering from cancer, chronic illnesses, and other severe diseases.” she said in her speech .
“Customised credit cards with Rs 5 lakh limit for registered micro enterprises.” added she .
“Broadband connectivity to be provided to all government secondary schools and primary healthcare centres.” Sitharaman said .
“Ten Thousand additional seats to be added in Medical colleges next year and 75,000 seats to be added in next five years.” she said.
