Kulgam Carrom Championship concludes amid Exceptional Talent Display

Srinagar, Jan 20: The district Kulgam Carrom Championship 2024-25 concluded successfully on Monday, drawing immense participation and showcasing exceptional talent in all categories.
Organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative of the J&K Sports Council, the event aimed to encourage youth participation in sports and nurture budding talent. The championship was proudly sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
The competition included four categories—Cadets, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior—for both boys and girls, with enthusiastic participation from across the district. The event witnessed a significant turnout, underlining the growing popularity of carrom in the region.
During the closing ceremony, Mohd Shafi, Manager of the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Qoimoh Kulgam, distributed medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up. The event was also graced by the presence of Mir Tajamul, Khokho Coach; Mr. Arif Sultan, Treasurer of the J&K Carrom Association; and several senior players, who commended the participants for their skill and passion.

• 1st Place: Aisha Showkat
• Runner-up: Adeena Sajad

• 1st Place: Fatima Khalid
• Runner-up: Arooba Adil
• 3rd Place: Aisha Bint Ishaq
The championship successfully fostered sportsmanship and provided a platform for young talent to shine. J&K Carrom Association Congratulates all the winners and participants for their hard work and dedication
Now, the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association, in association with the District Shopian Carrom Association, is set to organize the District Shopian Carrom Championship 2024-25 at Batpora, Shopian, on January 21 and January 22. The two-day event promises to continue the spirit of carrom excellence and provide another exciting opportunity for players to showcase their talent.
