J&K KVIB Reasi organised a District Level Awareness Programme at Dera Baba Kanjli, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) & Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) Schemes to aware general public about the benefits of both the schemes. Secretary/CEO J&K KVIB, Jagdish Chander Mehra was the Chief Guest in the awareness programme.
Jagdish Chander Mehra enjoined upon the budding entrepreneurs to harvest the opportunities being provided by the government schemes by establishing self employment ventures. Ashwani Kumar, District Officer KVIB Reasi, while addressing the public informed that in subsidized and technical environment new ventures of manufacturing, service and trading sectors can be opened under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) which provides financial assistance up to fifty lacs in manufacturing sector and twenty lacs under Service sector to beneficiaries having qualification of 8th pass to establish their self-employment generating units. District Officer KVIB Reasi, further elaborated in detail the schemes of KVIB. The officer informed the budding entrepreneurs about the procedure to be adopted to apply for financial assistance under PMEGP and JKREGP and other modalities required in the process.
