Anantnag, Jan 21: Veerian Big Bash Cosco League was inaugurated on Sunday at Tarbal Ground Veeri Anantnag by Astanpora Cricket Club (ACC) Veeri under the Aegis of Veeri Cricket Association.
The main motive of organising the tournament is to promote & boost sporting culture among youth, and to impart a sense of discipline and sportsmanship among them.
On the Inaugural Ceremony of the tournament, Sports Analyst Dr. Riyaz Veeri, Renowned Ulema Moulana Mubashir Veeri and Senior Cricketer Towseef Rehman were the invited guests, who lauded the participating teams for the participation in the tournament and hailed the organizerd for organizing such events and urged for more such event in future also.
The tournament will be played on knockout basis format and a total of 32 teams from South Kashmir are participated. The Inaugural match was played between United Sirhama and Dhaka Tigers Veeri, in which United Sirhama emerged as winner in the Super Over by one Wicket.
