Srinagar, Aug 23: Scores of people gathered at Srinagar’s Hazratbal Shrine on Wednesday to offer prayers for the triumphant landing of Chandrayaan-3, which made a successful lunar touchdown at 6:04 pm.
Reports indicate a sizable congregation at the shrine, with fervent prayers echoing in the air for the mission’s success.
In a video, the sound of people’s prayers could be heard as they hoped for its success.
The entire nation held its collective breath in anticipation as suspense grew following the crash of Russia’s Luna-25 mission on Sunday evening. In a monumental achievement for India’s space program, Chandrayaan-3 successfully touched down on the lunar South Pole at 6:04 pm on Wednesday, propelling the country into an exclusive club of nations and making it the first to land on this uncharted surface.
Apart from the prayers at Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, people from other parts of the Kashmir valley also prayed for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3.
