Srinagar, June 28: The Kashmir Advocates Association (KAA) has achieved a significant milestone with its official recognition by the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, under the powers of the Bar Council as per Section 58 of the Advocates Act 1961. This recognition marks a historic first for any Advocates Association or Bar Association in the region, highlighting the dedication and commitment of KAA members to justice and the legal community.
The acknowledgment underscores KAA’s pivotal role in representing and supporting advocates throughout the valley, ensuring their welfare and enhancing the professional environment across different courts in the Union Territory. The association expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice and judges of the High Court, as well as the Bar Council of Jammu & Kashmir, for their support.
Later, KAA reaffirms its commitment to furthering the interests of advocates in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, with a special focus on the Kashmir Valley. The recognition cements KAA’s standing in advocating for justice and upholding professional standards within the legal fraternity.
