Srinagar, May 07: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Zone Hardpanzoo, Budgam continues to inspire young athletes by organising a series of competitive events across the zone. Under the able supervision of DYSSO Gh Hassan Lone and Incharge ZPEO Jahan Ara, the latest highlight was an exhilarating Kho Kho tournament for under-14 boys, held from May 6 to May 7.
The event was inaugurated with great enthusiasm by the Headmaster of HS Arizal, joined by Incharge Activity ZPEO Hardpanzoo, Sheikh Farooq, along with other field officials who played a pivotal role in the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament. The final match witnessed a large turnout and showcased spirited participation from young players. Cambridge International School, CheckMarg, clinched victory in a closely contested match, defeating IEI Arizal with a scoreline of 9–7.
During the closing ceremony, the Incharge Activity ZPEO Hardpanzoo commended the participants for their commendable sportsmanship and urged them to continue pursuing excellence with dedication and the true spirit of the game. Mementoes were presented to both winners and runners-up, marking a fitting conclusion to an engaging and competitive event.
