Roorkee/ New Delhi, May 03: Professor Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (NaMo Kendra), visited the revered Dargah of Piran Kaliyar Sharif along with his associates to offer floral tributes and Ziyarat.
He also prayed for the souls of the innocent tourists who were killed in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Prof. Jasim strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, calling it an act against humanity. He noted that the incident has been widely condemned not only by many countries but also by Muslim nations across the world.
He emphasized that the time has come for all citizens of India, regardless of religion, caste, or community, to stand united and strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to effectively respond to those who conspire against the unity and integrity of the nation.
He further stated that Pakistan continues to shelter terrorists and is engaged in a state of undeclared war against India. However, this time India will respond firmly. He also pointed out that Muslim countries across the globe have openly supported Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his fight against terrorism and Pakistan’s hostile policies.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad stressed the importance of preserving India’s sacred Dargahs, stating that doing so is essential to keeping the Sufi tradition alive. He urged that efforts be made for the renovation and proper upkeep of these spiritual sites.
Present on the occasion were Life Member of IICC, Engineer Sajid Ali, Dr. Javed Rahmani (member of the advisory council of NaMo Kendra), Junaid Khan, Salman Ali, Om Prakash, Nafisul Hasan, and others.
Seminar on ‘Drug Addiction: A Curse’ held at GDC Frisal
Kulgam, May 03: Government Degree College (GDC) Frisal in collaboration with district administration Kulgam, today organised a Seminar on ‘Drug Addiction: A Curse,’ under the banner of IEC Campaign against Drug Abuse-2025, within the college premises here.
Principal of the College, Dr.Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah in his introductory speech emphasized the role of educational institutions against drug addiction.
Drug Control Officer Kulgam, Dr Mustafa, the resource person from district administration highlighted the technical points about drug addiction.
Prof. Mehnaza Jan, resource person from Anti- Drug Addiction Cell of the college, deliberated on the importance of holding such programs in educational institutions vis-a-vis controlling the menace of drug addiction in the society.
In addition to staff members and students of the College many guests from civil society, district administration and Deptt. of Social Welfare Kulgam attended the program.
