SKUAST-K’s EAP at Govt Degree College Kulgam concludes

Kulgam, Nov 29: The Institute of Business and Policy Research (IBPR) SKUAST-Kashmir organized one-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAP) titled “Entrepreneurship as a source of Independent Livelihood” on Nov 28th, 2024 Govt. Degree College, Kulgam. The program aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurial ventures as viable career paths and to sensitize them of future skills required for seizing job opportunities.
The inaugural event was graced by Chief Guest, Prof. Sayeed Eazaz Hussain Rizvi , Principal of Govt. Degree College, Kulgam, who was accompanied by faculty members from SKUAST-Kashmir and Govt. Degree College, Kulgam. In his address, Prof. Sayeed Eazaz Hussain Rizvi commended Prof. Nazir A. Ganai, Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-K, for promoting collaborations between academia and industry. He highlighted the critical role of entrepreneurship in today’s economy, citing inspiring entrepreneurial leaders and discussing essential leadership qualities that contribute to entrepreneurial success. Prof. Sayeed Eazaz Hussain Rizvi encouraged students to consider entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-reliant livelihoods.
Dr. Omar Fayaz Khan, (Program Organizer) provided an insightful overview of the EAP initiatives, emphasizing how government promoted entrepreneurship programs at both central and state levels stresses for matching Skills and contemporary and future livelihoods options. He underscored the importance of skill-based education as the foundation for sustainable career opportunities.
The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. Ubair Nisar, Assistant Professor at IBPR and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sana Bala, Program Co-organizer from Govt. Degree College, Kulgam.
