Lok Sabha Elections 2024: DEO Kupwara inaugurates cricket match under SVEEP at Trehgam

Kupwara, Apr 25: Under SVEEP programme, Education Department and Youth Service & Sports Department Kupwara on Thursday organized a cricket match at Boys Higher Secondary School Trehgam.
The cricket match was inaugurated by District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan who is also District Election Officer.
On the occasion, the DEO along with officers released some pigeons in the sky to mark the inauguration of the cricket match.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara (ARO Trehgam), Chief Education Officer (Nodal Officer SVEEP), District Youth Services & Sports Officer, , ZEO and CDPO, besides, Employees from line departments, Anganwari Workers, ASHAs and large number of students and general public attended the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, the DEO urged the people to come in large numbers and cast their valuable votes on the polling day.
ADDC Kupwara also spoke and administered an oath to the participants to cast their vote on polling day to strengthen the democracy.
Earlier, the school children presented a variety of programmes including Dumbbells, Gojri programme and other cultural variety programmes, highlighting the significance of voting in the democratic process.
Later, the DEO participated in the plantation drive conducted in the compound of BHSS Trehgam and planted cedar trees.
Meanwhile, the two-day Plantation Drive under SVEEP has been concluded in district Kupwara.
