Doda, June 25:1st District Doda Open Taekwondo Championship – 2023 from 25th to 26th June 2023, organised by District Doda Taekwondo Association Under the Aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association headed by Burhan Ud Din Khan (Secretary DDTA) under the emblem of “My Youth and My Pride” Sponsored by Khan & Son’s & Delta Multi Speciality clinic (DMC) at Town Hall Doda, here on Sunday.
Jaffar Haider Shiekh (District Youth Service and Sports Officer Doda) graced the opening ceremony as chief guest along with Janab Rizwan Wani (Regional Manager, Iqra International school) Tayab Hamza (Secretary, District Doda Wushu Association) as guest of honor and Tanvir Ahmed Indrabi (Corporator MC Doda), Muzamil Malik (REK, Teacher), Shabir Ahmed (Branch Head, Iqra International school Bhaderwah) were present there as special Guest.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming J&K UT level Taekwondo championship wherein around 200 players participated. Chief Guest Shri Jaffar Haider Shiekh wished the organizing committee good luck and assured full support to the athletes of Doda.
The event went highly amazing as the enthusiasm among the kids and parents were marvellous. The championship was organised in two aspects of Taekwondo i.e. Kyorugi and Poomsae.
Junaid Ali Khan (President DDTA), Nadeem Niaz Zargar (Vice President DDTA), Faisal Tanvir Wani Organising Secretary DDTA), and many others were present during the event.
The championship was supported by many Coaches and National athletes including Nadeem Zargar (Coach CSA), Babar Mujahid (Coach, Falcon Sports Academy) and Haroon Zafar (National player).
Junaid Ali Khan (President, DDTA) presented a vote of thanks to all the esteemed guests on behalf of District Doda Taekwondo Association.
