Srinagar, July 21, 2025: The Education in Language wing of SCERT Kashmir hosted a groundbreaking webinar under the dynamic leadership of Syed Shabir Ahmad (JKAS), bringing together 360 system-level functionaries, including Chief Education Officers, Principal DIETs, 91 Zonal Education Officers, Complex Heads, and Nodal Officers.According to a statement issued here, the session, aimed at advancing the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mission, featured a keynote by Prof. (Dr.) Padma Yadav from NCERT’s Department of Elementary Education, New Delhi.Dr. Yadav emphasised the roles of system-level functionaries in implementing innovative pedagogical structures, teaching-learning processes, and materials like Vidya Pravesh and Jaadui Pitara. She highlighted the importance of supervision, assessment techniques, and achieving learning outcomes to transform FLN schools into centers of excellence. The webinar saw enthusiastic participation, with attendees engaging actively through questions, earning praise from Dr. Yadav for their commitment.Complex Heads were guided to flexibly utilize human resources, infrastructure, and training materials to foster holistic child development. This pioneering event, where Principal DIETs and CEOs shared a virtual platform, marked a significant step toward educational transformation in Kashmir.
