Budgam, Oct 15: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Vice Chairman G M Saroori on Sunday reiterated the party’s commitment to fostering equitable and inclusive development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the party workers in Harkmula, Budgam, Saroori said there is a need for visionary leadership to bring positive change to the union territory. He stressed the importance of infrastructural growth, sustainable economy, and ample job opportunities for the youth of J&K.
Saroori expressed confidence that only Ghulam Nabi Azad, with his vision and execution abilities, can lead the region towards progress. He called on the people to support DPAP and provide them with a full majority in the upcoming elections, whenever they occur, to bring their vision into reality.
In light of the economic challenges faced by the people of both Jammu and Kashmir regions, Saroori assured that DPAP would alleviate their difficulties if elected to power. He also urged the government to address the issue of prolonged power cuts in Kashmir, which have made life difficult for the residents, especially with the onset of winter.
During the gathering, General Secretary K P Shafiq Shabnum encouraged party functionaries to strengthen coordination at the grassroots level. Peer Bilal, President of Central Kashmir Zone, reiterated DPAP’s dedication to promoting democracy, inclusivity, and progress in the region. He expressed confidence that the meeting’s outcomes would significantly bolster the party’s presence in Budgam and the surrounding areas.
Provincial Vice President Kashmir, Haaji Musadiq Hussain, emphasized the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level. Senior DPAP leaders from Budgam, including Javid Iqbal, Firdous Nabi, GN Parwana, Er Nazir Ahmad Itoo, Bilal Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq Lodhi, Master Mohammad Shafi Shama, Latief Raina, and Mushtaq Sogami, highlighted the specific demands and needs of Budgam district during the event.
