Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Wednesday visited Sharika Devi Temple atop Hari Parbat, Badamwari to inspect the arrangements being made on the eve of Navreh festival, a festival celebrated on new Year as per Hindu calendar and beginning of Navratra celebrations.
During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the members of Kashmir Pandit community and Senior Officers from Administration.
While interacting with the management Committee of the Sharika Devi Temple, the DC took first hand appraisal of the arrangements made available at the venue to facilitate the visiting devotees particularly on the occasion of Novratra.
The DC gave on spot directions to the PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted supplies of Power and water. He also asked CMO Srinagar to ensure a medical team with ambulance services at the Temple on the Navratri festival.
Similarly, SMC authorities were asked to keep sufficient personnel deployed at the venue for sanitation and cleaning measures.
The DC also asked the R&B authorities to pace up the ongoing upgradation works so that they are completed in a set timeline.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, RTO, Kashmir, Superintendents of Police, SP Traffic City, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Sanitation Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Tehsildar Khanyar and other concerned accompanied the DC during the visit.
