A Pakistani terrorist identified as Saifullah was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Rajwar area of Handwara on Monday, officials said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Handwara, Mushtaq Choudhary, while addressing the media, stated that based on specific inputs, a cordon and search operation was launched in the area. During the ensuing gunfight, the terrorist was neutralized.
“The body of the slain terrorist has been recovered. An AK-47 rifle, grenades, and other ammunition were also seized from his possession,” SSP Choudhary said.
