Jammu, Nov 09: “Return of fourteen thousand dropout school children back to their educational institutions through Back to Village (B2V) initiative is an apt answer to those politicians who had questioned the credentials of this biggest ever drive that involved officials of different departments and people at grassroots levels. The programme was designed to reach out to the people at their door steps and it worked very well, “BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri said
This drive, BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri said, not only bridged the gap between administration and people but also enabled the government to get first-hand information about every aspect of governance. Never in the history of administration such an initiative was taken and now, when things have started falling in place, the opposition can’t digest such productive steps of the government.

Raman Suri said, electronic purchase of minerals, distribution of fifty thousand golden cards, financial assistance to 15K young entrepreneurs, distribution of over 4K shram cards, preparation of digital disability cards, issuance of over 6 lakh land passbooks, issuance of about one lakh health cards and holding of camps for disabled people were all achieved by involving officials of 35 government departments.
This kind of development is the vision of Prime Minister NarendraModi, who wants to reach out to every last person located in every last village of the country.
People, he said, wait for B2V programmes and this latest one in series helped thousands of villagers. Raman Suri regretted that politicians belonging to Panthers Party, AAP, NC, PDP or Congress are averse to such programmes and keep criticising it for no reasons.
He hoped that they will realise the power and nobility of reaching out to villagers, who don’t get access to the corridors of power. This Back to Village programme makes them aware of the government schemes, helps them get their grievances addressed, enables them to interact with officials, seek benefits of government schemes that reach their doorsteps and also helps them keep a track of their applications submitted for seeking various services. Opposing such programmes is nothing short of criminal act for the simple reason that by doing so they block development of villages and growth of villagers.
