Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested a notorious drug peddler in Duderhama area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A spokesperson said, “Police Station Ganderbal recieved information through reliable sources that one person namely Feroz Ahmad Bhat S/O Habib-ullah Bhat R/O Bamloora Ganderbal who is running Afreen Communication Shop at Duderhama near clock tower is involved in Drug Peddling and Selling it to the local youth of the area.”
“Acting Swiftly, On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Police Party led by SHO PS Ganderbal conducted raid at the said shop under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal. During the search, Banned Drug (12 Bottles of Rekof (100 ml each) & 30 Boxes (3000 Tablets) of Tapentadol (100 mg each), which was kept hidden inside the Shop was recovered & seized in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class and the accused was arrested on the spot”, he said.
“In this regard, Case FIR No. 333/2023, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Ganderbal & further investigation taken up.”
The operation drugs free Ganderbal shall continue. Ganderbal Police issues strict warning to the Drug Peddlers to refrain from this dreadful menace or be ready to face the legal action under relevant sections of law in future also.
