Srinagar, Aug 03:In a momentous occasion, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid a reverential visit to the Damdama Sahib Gurdwara, where he dedicated the newly reconstructed complex, marking a beautiful fusion of heritage and development.
The inauguration took place at the HMT outskirts city, along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway, where the Lieutenant Governor expressed his admiration for the transformation that this sacred Gurdwara has undergone. The concerted efforts of the Srinagar Smart City Limited, in close coordination with the management committee, have breathed new life into this revered site.
During the ceremony, LG Sinha underscored the profound significance of the Gurdwara’s reconstruction, embodying the principle of ‘VirasatBhiVikasBhi’ – a harmonious blend of heritage and development.
He stated, “this spiritual heritage site’s restoration not only pays homage to our roots but also paves the way for a future where tradition and modernity coexist.” The event resonates with unity, respect for heritage, and a resolute commitment to a more inclusive and promising tomorrow.
LG Sinha expressed deep reverence for the site’s cultural and spiritual significance, emphasizing that the endeavor exemplified the administration’s dedication to preserving cherished heritage while embracing modern development.
”The reconstruction efforts brought together a collaborative spirit, with various stakeholders working in harmony to restore the spiritual site to its former glory.
