AI: The Future of Humans’ event held at SP College Srinagar

Srinagar, Sep 09: PG Department of Information Technology organized a one-day event on the theme AI: The Future of Humans in connection with the Digital Week Celebrations.
Over 15 participants from various colleges of Kashmir Division participated in the event demonstrating an AI based application which can be helpful in our day today lives. 
The Chief Guest for this event was Dr Javaid Ahmad Sheikh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology, University of Kashmir.
Dr. Ghulam Jeelani Qurashi, Principal, Sri Pratap College Srinagar in his welcome address laid emphasis on how the world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has taken over our lives knowingly or unknowingly and how important is it to remain updated with the latest trends and technologies in today’s world.
The session ended with the announcement of winners and distribution of certificates. 
The third position was bagged by Ihsan Wani and Asiya Bashir from Islamia College of Science and Commerce, second position was secured by Sobaan Rafi Bhat and Mohammad Sabeel from SP College Srinagar while first position was bagged by Afreen Jan from SP College, Srinagar. 
The jury for the session was Dr. Javaid Ahmad Sheikh (Chief Guest), Dr. Jan Shabir, Head Department of Physics, Dr. Syed Gulzar Ahmad, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Prof. Zarka Malik, Head, Department of IT, Prof. Zafar Majeed and Prof. Magray Ajaz Ahmad. 
The session was moderated by Prof. Zarka Malik and the rapporteur was Ms. Sehrish Mahboob, Lecturer Department of IT.
