Srinagar, Mar 15: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir on March 15-16.

According to the forecast, most places in the region can expect intermittent spells of light to moderate rain/snow on March 15.

On March 16, a brief spell of light rain/snow is expected at a few places in the morning, with improvement in the weather expected towards the afternoon.

Thereafter, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from March 17 to 25, with cloudiness predicted on the evening of March 19.

The MeT Centre has issued advisories for travelers, tourists, transporters, and farmers. “Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories,” it said.

Farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations until March 16. The MeT Centre has also warned people to avoid sloppy and avalanche-prone areas, and be cautious of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable spots.
