Illicit timber seized in Budgam, accused arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday seized 43 Cft illicit timber and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

A Police spokesperson said that on 04/01/2023 evening ,Police Station Chadoora received an information that one person namely Abdul Gani Dar S/O Habibulla Dar R/o Gowharpora has kept illegally acquired timber at his home. Accordingly, a team from Police Station Chadoora conducted a raid on the specific location, and 17 logs of forest timber (43 Cft) was seized from the said house. The accused person involved was also arrested on the spot. 

 

He said that Case FIR number *03/2023* under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora, and further investigation has been taken up.
