Srinagar, Sept 17: Asserting upon the troops to maintain the highest standards of combat readiness and operational preparedness to tackle terrorism and terror related activities, Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai on Sunday reviewed the anti-infiltration and counter-terrorist grid in Baramulla district during his visit to the forward areas in the Uri sector near the Line of the Control (LoC) and , Army officials said.
“The Corps Cdr commended troops for maintaining the highest standards of combat readiness and operational preparedness and complimented them for successful conduct of Op Khanda in which three terrorists were eliminated on 16 September,” he said.
This comes a day after three terrorists were killed in a joint operation led by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police in the Uri town.
As per the Army, the slain terrorists were attempting to infiltrate into the Indian side but were engaged by the alert troops.
