Slain Constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh who was killed by militants during encounter in 2022, has been awarded with Shaurya Chakra posthumously on the occasion of Republic Day.
Mudasir Ahmad, a 32-year-old policeman, was killed during an encounter in Najibhat area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir on May 25th.During the encounter three Pakistani terrorists were also gunned down by security forces.
While quoting ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “No salute is enough for a hero who lived larger than life & whose #sacrifice belittled death itself. #ShauryaChakra awarded to Shaheed CT Mudasir Sheikh @ Bindaas for showing exceptional #bravery while neutralising 3 foreign terrorists. #Salute to the #braveheart.”
Meanwhile, Baramulla Police also wrote, “Our braveheart Martyr Ct.Mudasir Ahmad @Bindaas has been awarded with #ShauryaChakra posthumously.Police led by SSP Baramulla salutes him.His sacrifice will serve as an inspiration for generations.”
