Kathua, Jan 12: On the occasion of “National Youth Day”, the NSS units of Government Degree College Kathua organized a motivational lecture on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The program started with traditional lamp lighting by Incharge Principal Prof. Seema Malpotra.
Naman Dogra, a young dynamic youth leader and social activist was the chief resource person. He delivered a very informative and valuable lecture on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
The Principal appealed to the students to go through the life of Swami Vivekananda and follow in his footsteps to promote the culture and diversity of India to everyone. She appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and the program officers in organizing the event.
Prof Manmohan Singh, a senior-most NSS program officer presented a welcome note. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by NSS program officer Dr Suresh Sharma. The proceedings were conducted by senior-most NSS volunteer Pratham Sharma.
Senior faculty members Dr Rachna, Dr Kailash Sharma, Dr Sumit Dubey, Dr Shamsher Singh, Kamaldeep Singh also graced the occasion. The event was organized under the patronage of Principal Prof Sumanesh Singh Jasrotia and supervised by NSS program officers Prof Manmohan Singh, Dr Suresh Sharma and Dr Amita Dua.
