Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 3 drug peddlers including notorious & wanted lady drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A Spokesperson said that a police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Dewanbagh near Grid Station intercepted one lady.
“During the search, 60 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from her possession, who was later identified as Afroza Begum @ Afree wife of Late Fayaz Ahmad Dar resident of Ganie Hamam Baramulla A/P Hygam Sopore. She had been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where she remain in custody”, he said.
Similarly, a police party of Police Station Tangmarg headed by SHO PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg at a checkpoint established at Sharai Tangmarg intercepted two persons.
During their search, 65 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from their possession, who were later identified as Bashir Ahmad Magray son of Sonaullah Magray resident of Drooru & Javid Ahmad Ganie son of Ab Ahad resident of Shrai. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Tangmarg where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Baramulla & Tangmarg and investigations have been initiated.
