Anantnag, March 17: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is in the valley for a film shoot, said he has travelled the world but there is no place as beautiful as Kashmir.
“I have been to nook and cranny of the world, but no place is as beautiful as Kashmir,” Dutt said after paying respects to the renowned shrine of Baba Zain-Ul-Abideen Wali (RA) at Aishmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
“Baba Ka Bulawayo Aaya Tha Isiliye Yaha Aaj Pahunch Saka Mein (It Was Baba’s call, So I’m Here,” the film star said while briefly talking to reporters outside the shrine.
The actor said he prayed for the whole nation including Kashmir so that tourism footfall increases in the valley. “Tourists come here, film shoots take place, and everyone makes a livelihood here. I’m pleased that there are so many tourists here.
Sanjay Dutt said his first film ‘Rocky’ was shot here and that his life’s first work began very well in Kashmir. Rocky was released in 1981. The film was directed and produced by his father Sunil Dutt.
“I have a great love for Kashmir and its people and I wish to come here again and again,” he said.
The Bollywood star was greeted by a large crowd who were eager to catch a glimpse of him.
