Jammu, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) organized an on-boarding drive, a supplier development program intended at developing awareness and lending personalized advisory to MSMEs at Udyog Bhawan here. The drive was organized in association with Walmart Vriddhi, which was conducted under the guidance of Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce and the supervision of Managing Director JKTPO.
The on-boarding drive was conducted to provide a platform to small sellers, artisans, retailers, small merchants, and traders of the Jammu division to become certified and to take their business digital on Flipkart.
The Walmart Vriddhi team conducted one-to-one networking sessions with participants and registered them on the Walmart Vriddhi platform. All the sellers were facilitated by the Walmart team for on-spot registration/ on-boarding and also clarified the queries of sellers related to Logistics and listing of products, etc.
More than 45 sellers, artisans, entrepreneurs and representatives from FICCI FLO attended the drive wherein 32 were registered and on-  boarded on the spot from varied sectors including Handloom and Handicrafts, Agro and Food, Beauty and Wellness, Electrical and Electronics, Apparels, Footwear, Jewellery, Ayurvedic/Herbal products, etc.
The drive is a significant milestone in the continued efforts of JKTPO to foster economic growth and promote digital commerce in Jammu and Kashmir. These drives have helped to create awareness about the benefits of leveraging the power of e-commerce and expanding their reach beyond traditional boundaries.
Pertinently, JKTPO is continuously organizing such promotion activities including on-boarding on E-Commerce platforms to enable local entrepreneurs to sell their products online across the world. Imran Mehmood, Financial Advisor, JKTPO along with other officials attended the drive.
