Ganderbal, June 11: SSP Enforcement Tourism S D Choudhary on Sunday conducted a surprise visit to the Zero Point Zojila where he met tourists.
During the visit, he took action against some vehicles that had received additional charges from tourists.
The SSP said the enforcement drive will continue against violators of the Tourist Trade Act and stern action will be taken against those who will be found asking or receiving additional charges from tourists.
“We have registered FIRs of some vehicle drivers who have overcharged tourists despite the government fixed rates. We will take action against violators when we receive complaints from tourists,” he said.
“I have also directed to concerned teams of tourism police to keep checking the rates of tourists so that no one should face any problem during a visit to Sonamarg or Zero Point,” Choudhary said.
