Srinagar, Jan 26: The Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Kashmir celebrated the 75th Republic Day with patriotic fervour and dedicated across multiple hospitals in Kashmir. The primary event took place at the head office in Bemina, Srinagar, where the Director of Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rathar, led the proceedings by unfurling the national flag in the presence of devoted health employees from various regions of Kashmir.
Amidst their essential duties, health professionals demonstrated unity and commitment, commemorating the nation on this significant day. The event symbolized the spirit of freedom and resilience, with the tricolour waving proudly against the scenic backdrop of Kashmir.
The main function at DHS Kashmir’s head office included a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem, fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie among the attendees. Director Health Kashmir delivered an inspiring address and highlighted the pivotal role healthcare plays in the nation’s progress and well-being.
Despite the prevailing challenges, the celebration served as a reminder of the collective strength and determination of the healthcare community in Kashmir, the DHSK said in a statement, adding that the active participation of health professionals showcased not only their dedication to their profession but also their commitment to the broader cause of national prosperity.
As the tricolour waved against the picturesque landscape of Kashmir, the DHS Kashmir family reaffirmed its allegiance to serving the people and the nation.
In a poignant addition to the Republic Day celebrations, the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Kashmir distributed employment orders to the next of kin of employees who had valiantly served and unfortunately lost their lives during active duty within the department, under SRO 43.
The main function at the DHS Kashmir head office witnessed the unfurling of the national flag by the Director and a heartfelt moment as employment orders were presented to the families of departed healthcare heroes. “This initiative stands as a tribute to the indomitable spirit and sacrifice of those who devoted their lives to the service of the people,” the DHSK said.
