Police Flag Day Week: Police organise exhibitions, blood donation, debate, painting competitions

Srinagar, Oct 25: In commemoration of the ‘Police Flag Day Week,’ several events were organized across police establishments in Srinagar. The activities included exhibitions, debate competitions, blood donation camps, and painting contests, all dedicated to honoring the memory of police martyrs. 
At the DPL Sopore, an exhibition spotlighting the contribution of Police Martyrs was held. Attended by SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab and DySP DAR Sopore Dr Hilal Ahmad Hilal, the event witnessed students from various schools paying tributes to the martyrs. During the exhibition, participants were introduced to the concept of the “Savera Cell,” and SSP Sopore expressed gratitude for their active engagement. 
In Baramulla, SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp at DPL Baramulla. Officers including SP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP Hqrs Baramulla, and others donated blood as a tribute to the martyrs. Seminars were also conducted in Pattan, Kunzer, Chandoosa, and Boniyar, where SHOs and families of martyrs participated, honoring the sacrifices made by the police personnel in the line of duty.
Additionally, visits were made to the families of martyred Police Personnel in Uri, Tangmarg, and Chandoosa areas, highlighting the sacrifices and distributing tokens of love among the families.
In Anantnag, painting and drawing competitions involving 50 students from different schools were held at DPL Anantnag. The participants were felicitated, with the top five being awarded mementos and all receiving appreciation certificates.
Meanwhile, a debate competition took place at Government Degree College Bajwani Tral, Awantipora, where students discussed “The role of Police in Nation Building.” Winners were awarded trophies, and all participants received certificates of appreciation. Portraits of the Martyrs of PD Awantipora were displayed in the respective Primary Schools where they received their primary education.
Kulgam witnessed multiple debate competitions in educational institutions throughout the district, focusing on “The role of Police in National Building.” Cash prizes, trophies, and certificates were distributed among the winners and participants, and photographs (portraits) of the martyrs were displayed in their respective primary schools, honoring their legacy. 
These events underscored the community’s respect and gratitude towards the sacrifices made by the police personnel, emphasizing the vital role of the police in nation-building efforts.
