Chandigarh, Apr 18: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarun Chugh has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of reviving “terrorism days” in Punjab by joining hands with the Congress.
In a statement issued here, Chugh said the AAP government has failed to protect the national interests and has deliberately plotted an atmosphere of terrorism in the state. He said the Congress has colluded with the AAP to create a terror atmosphere in Punjab.
Chugh said, “The way the Bhagwant Mann government is trying to kill the voice of dissent is a grave warning call for the state where the law and order situation has crippled and a serious sense of fear and insecurity has caught up with the people.”
He said the Bhagwant Mann government is trying to hide its failure to take care of law and order after about two dozen grenade blasts and is trying to shift the focus to the opposition parties.
“First, the police stations came under grenade attack and thereafter, the Hindu religious places. Now, political leaders are being targeted by the anti-national forces in Punjab,” he said.
The BJP leader questioned: “Why are the anti-national forces having a free play in Punjab. It seems the AAP government is in league with the anti-national forces.”
