GMC Baramulla shines at 15th HAIRCON 2025

Srinagar, Apr 08: Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla made a notable presence at the 15th HAIRCON, organized by the Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons of India (AHRS) in collaboration with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).

The prestigious conference was held at SKICC, Srinagar from April 4 to April 6, 2025, and was attended by over 350 delegates, including eminent international faculty members.

Distinguished international speakers included Dr. Knudsen Russell (Past President of ISHRS) from Australia, Dr. Otavio from Brazil, Dr. Chinmanat and Dr. Kulkaran from Thailand, Dr. Zontos from Denmark, and Dr. Maxim Chumak from the USA.

The conference was organized under the leadership of Dr. Aman Dua, Organizing Chairperson, and Prof. Dr. Syed Mubashir, Organizing Secretary from GMC Baramulla. Patrons of the event were Prof. Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah and Prof. Sheikh Manzoor.

The scientific sessions were inaugurated by Chief Guests: Prof. Dr. Iffat Shah, Principal & Dean, GMC Srinagar, Prof. Dr. Majid Jehangir, Principal, GMC Baramulla and Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, Principal, GMC Anantnag.

Dr. Ummer Yaseen, Assistant Professor, GMC Anantnag, served as the Scientific Coordinator, and Dr. Peerzada Sajad, Assistant Professor, GMC Baramulla, was the Organizing Coordinator. The roles of Assistant Scientific Secretary and Assistant Quiz Master were held by Dr. Atiya Yaseen and Sumaya Zeerak, respectively.

The conference attracted Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons from across the country. A special session on Anti-Quackery featured key figures including: Dr. Mayank Singh, President, AHRS, Dr. Akshay Jain, Vice President, Indian Association of Dermatologists, Dr. Aditya Agarwal, Vice President, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India and Dr. Swapnil Shah, President, Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India.
