Bandipora, Nov 22: Amid harsh weather conditions, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a transformative initiative to foster development in rural India, Wednesday reached its successful conclusion at Gurez Subdivision of district Bandipora.
Despite minus temperature within the Gurez Subdivision, the yatra covered various panchayats and communities, with a special emphasis on disseminating information and creating awareness about centrally sponsored schemes (CSSs).
At the heart of this successful campaign was the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van, a mobile unit equipped with state-of-the-art technology and expert personnel.
The IEC Van became the focal point for engaging with local communities, providing them with crucial insights into the array of centrally sponsored schemes aimed at uplifting rural India.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra traversed through different panchayats of Gurez valley, ensuring that the campaign reaches every corner of the region. The extensive coverage facilitated direct interaction with villagers, understanding their needs, and informing them about the welfare schemes.
The IEC Van played an important role in the success of the yatra in the region. The innovative use of multimedia resources, interactive sessions, and informative materials ensured that the villagers not only received information but were actively engaged in understanding the benefits and intricacies of various CSSs.
Through the yatra, communities were empowered with knowledge about schemes related to healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
The schemes publicized include Ayushman Bharat; PMJAY PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana; Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission; PM Awas Yojana (Rural); PM Ujjwala Yojana; PM Vishwakarma; PM Kisan Saman; Kisan Credit Card (KCC); PM Poshan Abhiyan; Har Ghar Jal–Jal Jeevan Mission; Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA); Jan Dhan Yojana; Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana; Suraksha Bima Yojana; Atal Pension Yojana; PM PRANAM; Nano Fertilizer etc.
One of the main highlights of the yatra was late night campaigns by the IEC Van in far flung areas of Gurez Valley.
By bridging the information gap, the campaign has set the stage for enhanced cooperation, ensuring that government initiatives align seamlessly with the needs and aspirations of the people.
