J&K Medical Council reconstituted

Srinagar, Oct 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department on Saturday reconstituted the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council which shall be substituted with a new body including president and members.
“In exercise of powers conferred by Section 98 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019 and in partial modification of notification S.O 362 of 2021 dated 20.10.2021, the Lieutenant Governor hereby directs that the table appended to the said notification shall be substituted by the following namely…,” said an order issued by the H&ME.
Dr Shahzada Mohammad Salim Khan, Professor, Community Medicine, GMC Srinagar shall be the President, J&K Medical Council while Dr Vishal R. Tandon, Professor, Pharmacology, GMC Jammu; Dr Mehnaz Sultan Khuroo, Professor, Pathology, GMC Srinagar; Dr Sandeep Dogra, Professor, Microbiology, GMC Jammu; and Dr Asifa Nazir, Associate Professor, Microbiology, GMC Srinagar and Dr Jyoti Jolly Chief medical Officer (I/c Divisional Nutritional Officer, Jammu) shall be its members.
