Paras Health Srinagar launches senior citizen privilege card to enhance healthcare access for elderly

Srinagar, Sept 15: Paras Health Srinagar has launched a Senior Citizen Privilege Card to improve healthcare access for the elderly in the region. The initiative aims to provide personalized healthcare services at affordable rates, ensuring that senior citizens receive consistent and compassionate care.
The privilege card offers benefits such as discounted outpatient consultations, laboratory tests, radiology services, and a free ambulance pick-up within 5 km of the hospital. With an annual membership fee of Rs 500, cardholders can avail of consultations with specialists at reduced rates.
The launch event was attended by prominent figures, including Ahmad Ayaz Beigh, Secretary J&K Muslim Personal Law Board, and Dr. Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health. Dr. Nagar emphasized the hospital’s commitment to affordable healthcare for seniors, stating, “This card reflects our dedication to building a healthier Bharat through accessible healthcare for the elderly.”
The program aims to ease the challenges seniors face in accessing timely care, with a focus on preventive health checks and specialized services.
The launch event, held at Paras Health Superspecialty Hospital Dalgate Srinagar, included insightful health talks by our experts from various medical fields: Dr Altaf Ramzan (Director, Neurosciences), Dr.Satish Chandra Wasoori ( Senior Consultant Endocrinology & Medical Director), Dr Mufti Mehmood (Director, Urology), Dr. Masood Tanvir (Director, Internal Medicine ), Dr. Basanti Ganjoo (Sr. Consultant, Gynaecology), Dr Tajamul Fazili (Director, Uro-oncology ), Dr Khurshid Iqbal (Assoc. Director, Cardiology ), Dr Naseer Mir (Associate Director, Orthopaedics) – emphasizing the importance of preventive care, early diagnosis, and emotional well-being in managing age-related health issues. The event concluded with the official unveiling of the Senior Citizen Privilege Card, followed by refreshments, symbolizing a new era of senior healthcare in Srinagar.
