A 39-year-old man was electrocuted to death at his orchard in Ratnipora area of Pulwama on Friday afternoon.
Locals told that a man identified as Abdul Hamid Reshie, son of Late Gh Hassan Reshie got electrocuted with a low lying HT line at Mirbagh Ratnipora.
They said that Reshie’s tube well came in contact with a low lying HT line when he was working in his orchard.
They added that Reshie, who was a driver by profession and father of two, was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Locals alleged that PDD is responsible for his death as they had kept HT line low in the area, adding that despite repeated requests to the PDD, nothing has been done in this regard and unfortunately claimed a life as well.
They said that the government must investigate the matter and take action against the responsible persons and demanded authorities to take necessary measures in this regard—(KNO)
