Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been closed for vehicular traffic due to shooting stones and landslides in Ramban, Officials said on Wednesday.
In a tweet, J&K Traffic Police informed, “Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked due to shooting stones/ landslides/mudslides at several places between Charkote and Banihal.”
Earlier on today morning, Trafic Police said, ” Jammu Srinagar NHW through but intermittent shooting stones continue at Mehar and Panthyal, weather rainy. People are advised not to travel on Jammu Srinagar NHW between Nashri and Banihal till Bharat Jodo.”
The highway is the main road which connects the Union Territory with the rest of the country. All essential supplies and vehicles pass through the highway.
