Rainawari, May 09: As part of Para-sports week celebrations, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Zone Rainawari organised Para Sports Event for specially-abled persons who participated in recreational activities like Ball Collection Race, Lemon Spoon Race, Cross the river & Tug of War here at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Nowhatta. Fifty specially-abled students from different government & private Institutions took part.
Madam Rifat Irfan Qadri (Principal GHSS Nowhatta) was Chief Guest while Madam Kounsar Jabeen (ZPEO Rainawari) was guest of honour on the occasion. Chief guest distributed medals among all participants & congratulated them & hailed the efforts of the department for organizing such events for these special students. The students were very enthusiastic during the participation.
The initiative has been taken to engage these specially-abled students in different sports activities to provide them a platform to showcase their talent said by ZPEO Rainawari. Muzamil Ahmad Dar (Convenor) presented vote of thanks to participants, parents & all physical education staff.
