Srinagar, June 4 – The Indian Principals’ Network (IPN) held its first-ever event in the region, the IPN Confluence Nationwide Dialogue, in Srinagar. The event, hosted at Hotel Raddison Lal Chowk Srinagar, brought together more than 75 school leaders from across the Srinagar region to discuss the impact of technology on classroom learning and teaching.
The IPN Confluence provided a platform for educators to explore the evolving role of technology in education. With the advent of digital tools, online platforms, and virtual learning environments, educators are faced with new challenges and opportunities in delivering effective education. The dialogue aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange, share best practices, and devise strategies to adapt to the technology-driven landscape.
Comprising two panel discussions, the IPN Confluence featured prominent school leaders who shared their perspectives on the topic. The first panel examined the ways in which technology is challenging traditional classroom learning and teaching, emphasizing the need for educators to stay abreast of the latest advancements. The second panel focused on the changing role of teachers in a technology-powered world, highlighting the importance of equipping educators with the necessary skills to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.
Esteemed leaders from renowned schools in Srinagar participated as panelists, contributing their valuable insights and experiences. The distinguished panelists included Dr. Farooq Wasil, Former President of CBSE Schools Association UAE; Mr. Vijay Dhar, Chairman of DPS Srinagar; Ms. Bisma, Principal of SRM Welkin, Sopore; Mr. M.D Zargar, Principal of Green Valley Educational Institute, Srinagar; Dr. Mehnaaz, Principal of Birla International School, Pampore, Srinagar; Mr. Umar Malik, Vice Principal of International Islamic School; Mr. Rajeev Choudhary, Principal of Army Public School; Mr. Rehman Warri, Director/Principal of GQ Public School Kulgam Kashmir; Ms. Ishrat Tanki, Chairperson of PSAJK (Women’s Wing), Firdous Educational Institute TapparPattan Baramulla, Shalimar Srinagar; and Ms. Singdha Singh, Principal of JK Police Public School Srinagar.
Gaurava Yadav, Founder & Moderator of Indian Principals’ Network (IPN), expressed his vision to host similar programs across the country, emphasizing that India’s true potential can be unlocked when school leaders adhere to the best guidelines and stay updated with technological advancements.
