DIPR organises culture event in Reasi

Reasi, Aug 13:  Department of Information and Public Relation, Reasi Centre organised a cultural event under the theme  “Meri Maati, Mera Desh – Mitti Ko Naman Veeron Ka Vandan”  in the  auditorium of Mini Secretariat to pay homage to the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by our brave warriors.
Cultural programme was organized by Department of Information and Public Relation Reasi in collaboration with District Administration, to remember and pay rich tribute to the martyrs who have laid down their lives for the security and integrity of the country
 District Development Commissioner Babila Rakwal was the chief guest and SSP Amit Gupta was the guest of honor on the occasion.
The colourful programme was presented by students of various institutions. The aim of organizing this event was to inculcate the spirit of patriotism, nationalism and oneness among the young generation besides remembering the bravery and sacrifices of martyrs.
Outstanding culture programme was appreciated by DDC with special reference to spell bound performance by Pintu and Party from Charai, which enthralled the audience. 
The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the families of the fallen Martyrs. The DC expressed her gratitude for their contribution towards the overall security and  development of the district. He  emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among all stakeholders for maintaining peace and harmony in the district.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Reasi called upon the youth to take inspiration from the supreme sacrifice made by our great heroes to safeguard the unity and integrity of the country. SSP  recalled  our great Martyrs who  made supreme sacrifice for the betterment of our motherland.
Emotional and patriotic fervour gripped the audience in the auditorium, where the family members of Martyrs  hailing from different parts of Reasi district were felicitated by DDC and SSP Reasi.
Meanwhile, a Tiranga rally was taken out from General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium and culminated at BhimGhar Fort by different educational institutions under the supervision of CEO, Sunita Bali.
