Handwara, Jan 26: Government Medical College (GMC), Handwara felicitated its staff for their exemplary contributions to the institution in the year 2024 on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day
The event recognised the efforts of Dr Azhar Masoodi, Altaf Hussain, (plumber), Farooq Ahmed (sanitation worker) and Ishfaq Ahmad Mochi (sanitation in charge), who received special recognition for their outstanding performance in the institution.
The awards were presented by GMC Principal, Prof Dr Khurshid and Consultant Medicine, Dr Nazir Ahmed Dar. The recipients expressed their gratitude for the recognition, saying they were delighted that their hard work had been appreciated. “It is encouraging to see our efforts being acknowledged, and this motivates us to continue serving with dedication,” they said.
Speaking at the event, Prof Khurshid lauded the dedication and commitment of the awardees and highlighted the importance of their roles in ensuring the smooth functioning of the institution. He urged all staff members to maintain their dedication to excellence in service delivery.
The felicitation ceremony was part of the Republic Day celebrations at GMC Handwara, which was marked with patriotic fervour and pride.
