Srinagar, Jan 08: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India has awarded virtual National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification to Sub Health Centre Kamad in Achabal block of Anantnag district.
“I congratulate you and the state team for taking up one public health facility in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, for the virtual assessment under National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification,” read the certification issued by the National Health Systems Resources Centre (NHSRC), Ministry of Health.
The health facility underwent the virtual assessment by the NHSRC empanelled NQAS assessors on December 30, 2024, and found 12 service packages in place with an overall score of 93 percent.
“Hence, above mentioned Ayushman Arogya Mandir-Sub Health Centre (AAM-SHC) in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir is granted quality certification under NQAS certification,” it said.
The certification said that the certified health facility should strive to work on recommended areas of improvement and submit the action plan to the State Quality Assurance Unit.
“The State Quality Assurance Unit is expected to verify the improvement in the surveillance audits and submit the status to certification Unit NHSRC along with the surveillance reports,” it added.
Health officials said this recognition highlights the district’s commitment to quality healthcare standards, ensuring improved health services for the community.
